Telugu Titans earned a hard-fought draw in the Pro Kabaddi League Zone B clash with UP Yoddha in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. With raider Shrikant Jadhav and defender Sachin Kumar combining to score 7 points for the team, Yoddhas went on to completely shackle Telugu Titans in the first half. The Titans entered the competition on the back of a big win over Puneri Paltans.

But Titans went on to put a solid second half display, and came back from 19-11 to take the match to 26-26. With the tie, UP Yoddha climbed to the top position in Zone B table, with 28 points in 11 games.



Telugu Titans star raider Rahul Chaudhary, who scored 17 points against Puneri Paltans in the previous game, displayed an insipid performance in the first half, not scoring a single point. But he displayed his tenacity as he scored 4 points in the second half, helping his side in scoring the gap.

For the home side, Sachin Kumar showed his allrounder skills scoring 3 raiding points and 2 assisting points. Captain Rishank Devadiga also displayed his rising form, as he scored four points for the team.



Speaking to reporters, UP Yodhha coach Jasveer Singh blamed defensive errors for his side failing to register the win. “We had planned to tackle Telugu Titans as a joint effort, but in the 7th minute of the second half, our defense broke down. Our defence which was confidence in the first half. But Rahul is a star raider and he was able to take down Sachin Kumar, which he should not have, which cost us the match,” he said.

UP Yodhha will next face Bengaluru Bulls on Thursday
